I’m Lina LaVonne Robertson
I’ve been a Traverse City Photographer for 16 years, but you can easily find personal accounts and photos of me with a camera in hand dating back to my preteens.
Like many photographers, I still remember my first camera. It was a digital point-and-shoot my parents gave me for Christmas in 2006.
Meanwhile, as i grew, my interests and aspirations changed – as they naturally do – but my camera was always glued to me.
I wanted to be an architect, then a graphic designer, then a teacher…but not a photographer. Not because I didn’t value it, but because I loved it so much that it felt impossible that it could also be my job.
Turns out, it is perfectly legal, and I am so glad it is.
Now, two decades later, I have celebrated alongside hundreds of wonderful people, explored countless styles of photography, and am doing what I love most.
MY INSPIRATION
Beauty is woven into everyday life, in the way light filters through the trees, in a simple glance, in the warmth of a shared moment, and in the honest emotions that make every story unique. I believe God’s presence is reflected in all of it.
Family and wedding photography and videography allow me to preserve these fleeting moments, the ones that often go unnoticed yet mean the most. Through my work, I aim to honor the truth and beauty of your life in a way that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
MY APPROACH
The beauty of life is that it is unfiltered and unscripted. In all my years as a family and wedding photographer, nothing has ever gone exactly to plan, and that is what makes it beautiful.
When I pick up my camera, my goal is to capture moments as they naturally unfold with minimal interference. Your life, your wedding, and your family are completely unique and should never feel staged or made to fit a mold.
I am here as a quiet observer and gentle guide, documenting your day and your people exactly as they were so when you look back, you do not just see what it looked like, you remember how it felt.
