Addie’s Moody Senior Photos in Empire, MI
Northern Michigan Senior Pictures
Traverse City & Northern Michigan Photography
There is an age old tradition of senior photos being staged, cookie cutter, and well… painful. But for Addie, we went out of the box and it was pure mood and magic.
This Northern Michigan senior wanted something completely unique for her portraits, so we started plotting.
Instead of the traditional sunny smiles and city backdrops, we dreamt of something cinematic. A foggy sunset, her trusted bow, and a deep cherry knit sweater that brought the moment together.
It was bold, dramatic, and perfectly her.
As a Traverse City photographer, I’m always inspired by seniors who want to break the mold and create something that truly reflects who they are.
We planned this session around golden hour, when the soft, low light would create that ethereal glow through a couple of smoke bombs.
The result? Photos that feel like stills from a movie.
Warm tones, rich textures, and mood in every frame.
This session is a reminder that senior photos don’t have to fit a mold.
Whether your style is bold and dramatic or light and joyful, your portraits should feel like you.
